The 16th Annual Texas Cook’Em: High Steaks In Edinburg will be kicking off on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Ebony Hill’s Golf Course, 300 W. Mark S Pena Dr. at 11 A.M.
Organizers anticipate drawing thousands of visitors to the FREE event. Here’s information to keep in mind when planning your trip.
Beginning at 6 A.M. on Saturday, July 2, 2022 locals can expect a portion of Freddy Gonzalez to be closed from 4th St. – 9th St. Drivers are advised to use S. Closner Blvd.
Parking will be available at the following locations:
South Middle School, 601 W Freddy Gonzalez Dr, Edinburg, TX
Richard Flores Stadium, 1800 S Stadium Dr, Edinburg, TX
Teleperformance, 1701 S Closner Blvd, Edinburg, TX
Free shuttle services will be provided to those who park at Richard Flores Stadium. Shuttles will be picking up guests in front of the Richard Flores Stadium box office.
Pedestrians are highly advised to use the crosswalk on the corner of Mark S. Pena Dr. & Closner Blvd.
Texas Cook’Em organizers and the Edinburg Police Department would like to remind the public to drink responsibly and stress the importance of sober driving.

Designated Taxi, Uber, and Lyft drop-off/pickup location will be at Teleperformance, 1701 S Closner Blvd, Edinburg, TX.
The public is invited to the 4th of July weekend celebration for FREE family entertainment such as the H-E-B Sizzle and Stripes Firework Show, 5×5 Freedom Jump (Skydive), Rico’s Playground, and Bert Ogden Car-Truck Show. Headlining this year’s festival will be Grammy Award winners, Los Palominos. General Admission entry for the concert is free to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
