Texas Cook’Em Organizers Announce Return of Car & Truck Show
The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its second annual Cars & Stripes car-truck show presented by Bert Ogden Auto Group! The show will be a part of the Texas Cook’Em High Steaks in Edinburg festivities on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Ebony Hills Golf Course, 300 W. Mark S Pena Dr. from 12 P.M. – 4 P.M.
Texas Cook’Em is one of South Texas’s biggest BBQ purses, awarding $25,000 to the winners. In 2021, Texas Cook’Em drew 85 cooking teams from across the state and over 8,000 citizens attended this State Championship event.
The car show is just one of many activities to be held during the Texas Cook’Em event.
Texas Cook’Em will also include vendors, live music, a children’s fun area and of course delicious barbeque. Gates will open at 11 A.M. for attendees to enjoy family fun activities all day long.
A performance by the Red Not Chili Peppers will kick off the FREE concert. At sunset, attendees can expect the Sizzle & Stripes Firework Show presented by H-E-B.
Registration for vehicle entries is now open. Judges will award the Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best Chevrolet, Best Ford, Best Mopar, and Best Pontiac. There is no registration fee to enter your truck or car into the show.
