Texas Cook’Em Committee Calls for Festival Vendors and Judges
Texas Cook’Em organizers invite the community to participate in this year’s festivities by participating as a vendor or judge. The festival will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Ebony Hill’s Golf Course, 300 W. Mark S Pena Dr, Edinburg, TX. This year’s festivities will begin at 10:30 A.M. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities such as live music, vendors, a car show, a children’s fun zone, and of course delicious food. Headlining the festivities is Texas Country music star, Aaron Watson. The music lineup includes the Red Not Chili Peppers, Draft, Muzik, Explosion Tejana, and more. Admission to the concert and event is FREE. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. The cook-off organizers are anticipating a large draw of attendees. In 2021, Texas Cook’Em had a record-breaking attendance of 8,000. Those interested in participating in the community event can engage in the following activities:
Cook-off Judging
Calling all BBQ fans! Texas Cook’Em is currently seeking volunteers to judge the following cook-off categories: Chicken, Ribs, Pork, Brisket, and/or Rib-eye Steak. Those interested in participating in the judging process must register at www.edinburg.com with their first & last name, age, and the categories they would like to judge. All participants must be 18 years of age.
Vendor Booth’s Now Available
The Texas Cook’Em organizing committee is currently accepting festival vendors. Booths will be available for food vendors, craft vendors, commercial exhibitors, and non-profit organizations (must show proof of non-profit status).
