Edinburg Chamber to host mixer honoring the Museum of South Texas History

The celebratory mixer will be held at the Museum of South Texas History on June 16 at 4 P.M.

Join the Edinburg Chamber for its June Member of the Month mixer honoring the Museum of South Texas History.

Enjoy an evening with a tour of the museum, networking, light appetizers, and refreshments.

MOST History is the June Member of the Month for its strive to preserve South Texas rich history. Additionally, the recognition comes after MOST History celebration of their 50th Anniversary.

During the event, “Golden Memories: Fifty Years of Preserving the Borderland Heritage of the Rio Grande Valley,” exhibit will be open for viewing. The new exhibit highlights the history of the museum and its progression.

In the Spring of 1970 MOST History opened its doors and the rest is history! As a result, the museum grew from a small county museum (Hidalgo County Historical Museum) to an American Alliance of Museums accredited museum (Museum of South Texas History). The museum offers state-of-the-art exhibitions set on a campus encompassing more than a city block.

A welcome by Ronnie Larralde, Executive Director at the Edinburg Chamber will kick off the mixer at 4 P.M. Following this is an exclusive tour of the museum by Dr. Francisco J. Guajardo, C.E.O of the MOST History at 4:15 P.M.
