Edinburg Chamber Raid Benefits United Way School Supply Drive

The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and its ambassadors chose H-E-B, located at 2700 W. Freddy Gonzalez Dr., in Edinburg, to have a Chamber Raid for the month of August. This month’s raid benefits United Way, helping to contribute to their school supply drive. The ambassadors who participated bought close to $200 in school supplies. Thank you to all who participated in the raid, Johnny Rodriguez- (Bert Ogden Auto Group), Mae Vela- ( Bob’s Steak & Chophouse), Andres “Andy” Santos- (Elite Employment Services), Diana Hernandez- (Elite Employment Services), Amalia “Melly” Hernandez- (AARP), Letty Flores- (The Monitor), and Mary Ramos- (Alpha and Omega Cleaning Services).

Chamber Raids allow ambassadors, board members, and volunteers from the Edinburg Chamber to “raid” a local business to make purchases. Each month, ambassadors meet to decide which member of the Edinburg Chamber to raid. The purpose of the Chamber Raid is to support both Edinburg businesses and the overall community. They also serve a secondary purpose in providing social and networking opportunities.

The Mission of the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is to lead the effort in advancing commerce and the quality of life in Edinburg and the region. We will foster service, development, and growth by forging positive relationships, advocating volunteerism, and leadership development.
