Edinburg Chamber promotes fitness with community challenge

The It’s Time Texas Community Challenge brings Texans together by encouraging healthy living

The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce invites its community to participate in the free It’s Time Texas Community Challenge (ITT Challenge). The virtual challenge is an eight-week statewide competition from January 4, 2021 to Friday, February 28, 2021 at 5 P.M.

Community members can participate by engaging in healthy actions, such as drinking water, eating nutritious food and exercising. Participants can sign up with their school district or community, and earn points for every post they submit. Cities and school districts with the most points win at the end of the challenge. There are also prize giveaways for regular participants.

In order to join, download the ‘ITT Community Challenge’ on the App Store or Google Play Store and register with your email. Once registered, members of the community can earn points by submitting photos of themselves exercising or eating healthy food.

We invite the community to join the challenge to showcase our city’s commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Now, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is even more important to keep our bodies in good condition by remaining active.

Executive Director Ronnie Larralde.

The Edinburg Chamber partnered with the City of Edinburg and other community organizations to promote fitness in the city. The challenge serves as a way to unite the community in the goal of exercising and consuming a proper diet.

Maintain an active lifestyle and see which communities can show their commitment to health and wellness today by participating. For more information on the ITT Challenge, visit edinburg.com or call (956) 383-4974.
