Edinburg Chamber Announces Bert Ogden Auto Group As Title Sponsor of Texas Cook’Em

The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Bert Ogden Auto Group as a title sponsor for Texas Cook’Em: High Steaks in Edinburg. Bert Ogden Auto Group presented a check for $10,000 to the chambers Board of Directors on Monday, June 22nd. The annual event will be held on July 4, 2021 at Ebony Hills Golf Course. “We are pleased to partner with Bert Ogden Auto Group for our cookoff this year”, said Ronnie Larralde, Executive Director at the Edinburg Chamber. In addition, “Bert Ogden has always been a strong supporter of our events. They understand our communities’ need for these quality of life experiences.”

Texas Cook’Em will be the Edinburg Chambers first community event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2020, “We unfortunately had to cancel our event as our main priority was to stop the spread of COVID-19 and help aid our small businesses.” said Larralde.

Events such as Texas Cook’Em help support small businesses in different ways. “Texas Cook’Em is a tourism event as we get many attendees from throughout the state and nation. Tourism brings dollars to Edinburg as our attendees stay and shop in Edinburg.”

Easton Corbin To Headline Texas Cook’Em

This year Texas Cook’Em will feature American Country Award winner, Easton Corbin. Texas Cook’Em is one of the states biggest BBQ purse, awarding $16,000 to the winners. In 2019, Texas Cook’Em drew 120 cooking teams from across the state. As well as, 3,000 citizens attended this State Championship event.

Competitors will battle it out on the grill to cook the best chicken, ribs, pork brisket and rib-eye. The winner will take home money as well as year’s worth of bragging rights.

During the event, there will be vendors, live music, a children’s fun area and of course delicious barbeque. Grounds will open at 10:30 A.M. for attendees to enjoy family fun activities.
