EDINBURG, TX – The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce has chosen Children’ Advocacy Center of Hidalgo County as its Business of the Month for the month of May. The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hidalgo County was established in June of 2000 when a local two-year old’s life ended tragically as a result of abuse. It is part of a much larger network of centers across the United States that are committed to protecting children from abuse and neglect. The National Children’s Advocacy Center has been a beacon of hope for countless victims of abuse since it’s founding in Huntsville, Alabama in 1985 by then District Attorney, Robert E. “Bud” Cramer.
