    EDINBURG, TX – The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce (ECOC) will host its quarterly Public Affairs Livestream, presented by Bert Ogden Auto Group, on July 1, 2020 at 10 A.M. to examine the region’s response to COVID-19.
     
    “We are pleased to have policymakers and healthcare professionals explore how we can prioritize healthcare policies to create a stronger healthcare” said Ronnie Larralde, Executive Director at the ECOC
     
    The 90-minute virtual healthcare forum will be moderated by ECOC Incoming President of the Board, Veronica Gonzales as she has a candid conversation about COVID-19 and the impact it has on our local healthcare system.
     
    Panelist will include:
    • Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa – Texas State Senator
    • Eddie Lucio Jr – Texas State Senator
    • Dr. John H. Krouse – Dean of the UTRGV School of Medicine and Executive Vice President for Health Affairs
    • Dr. Carlos Cardenas – Chairman of the Board at DHR Health
    • Lance Ames – Chief Executive Officer of South Texas Health System Edinburg
    • Cris Rivera- Chief Executive Officer of Rio Grande Regional Hospital
     
    Panelists will provide key measures that businesses can use to reduce the risk of transmission, “We thought it is an important community service to keep everyone updated on health system preparedness and state commitment to our health during this pandemic,” said Mario Lizcano, DHR Health Administrator of Corporate Affairs and Edinburg Chamber Vice President of Public Affairs. Other topics include outbreak preparedness and combating misinformation.
