Edinburg Chamber of Commerce Presents Law Day Luncheon on May 1st

The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its upcoming public affairs event, the Law Day Luncheon, scheduled for May 1, 2024, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The event will take place at the Region One Education Service Center located at 1900 W Schunior St, Edinburg, TX 78541.

Law Day is a celebration of the fundamental principles of the rule of law and its pivotal role in shaping our society. This year, our focus centers around the American Bar Association’s Law Day theme, “Voices of Democracy.”

Under this compelling theme, the chamber is proud to present a distinguished panel of speakers including 370th District Court Judge Noe Gonzalez and County Court #8 Judge Omar Maldonado. Moderating the event will be Veronica Gonzales, Senior Vice President of Governmental and Community Relations at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. These esteemed speakers will share their perspectives on the top regulatory challenges facing businesses today.

From navigating AI in the workplace to understanding wage and hour regulations, we’ll explore key topics essential for business owners and professionals.

Additionally, our program will address the impact of class action lawsuits on businesses, including considerations around insurance coverage and associated risks. Furthermore, we’ll examine the profound effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on legal matters for businesses, exploring strategies for adaptation and resilience in the face of unprecedented challenges.

Join us for an engaging and informative luncheon where we’ll empower attendees with the knowledge and insights needed to navigate the evolving legal landscape and thrive in today’s business environment.

Individual tickets and tables of 7 are available for purchase by contacting the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce at 956-383-4974 or via email at [email protected].
