Edinburg – On Friday, December 2nd, over 80 entries lined up inside the UTRGV Parking Lot to participate in the festive parade. The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 2016 Edinburg Night of Lights Parade winners in the following categories: School Division, Business/Civic Division and Marching Band Division. Each division was awarded trophies and prize money.
First Place School division was awarded to Anne L. McGee Cheerleaders, 2nd to Harwell Middle School and 3rd place to Robert Vela Sapphires. First Place Business/Civic division was awarded to Holy Family Church, 2nd to ECISD Transportation and 3rd place to Kiwanis Club of Edinburg. 1st Place Marching Band Division was awarded to Edinburg Economedes High School Jaguar Band, 2nd to B.L. Garza Tiger Band and 3rd to Edinburg High School Bobcat Band.
The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and Night of Lights Committee appreciate all the hard work, hours and dedication placed in the parade from all volunteers, judges and participants thus making this year’s parade one of the most memorable. In addition, we would like to thank the City of Edinburg, Edinburg Economic Development Corporation and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley who helped make the Night of Lights Parade and Festival a huge success.
